Westall - Powergrid
Westall - Powergrid
Reconstruction of a luminous silver object that appeared in Westall, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia, on April 6, 1966. The object is constructed in 3d mechanical engineering software, and the shape is based on my conversation with witnesses and in particular Colin Kelly, who saw it first above the power grid situated just outside the school oval. After he described it, I showed him the photo captured in 1971 during an aerial survey by the National Geographic Institute of Costa Rica. Colin’s response was that it was very similar. The 3D image I created is placed into a photo from my collection taken at the exact location of its appearance.
